INTERN LIFE//

+ the Experience

Worship and Prayer:

Each day begins with a powerful time of worshiping God, encouraging each other, and scripture reading. Starting the day by acknowledging our need for God and connecting with Him is a value we want every intern to walk away with.

theDeluge Classes:

By participating in theDeluge program you commit to learning on a deeper level than you may have before. These classes will connect you to the essential doctrines of our faith, grow your relationship with Christ, and sow these things through a life of ministry.

Memorizing and Meditation of scripture:

We love the Bible! A fully developed Bible reading plan to track with during the summer will provide guidance for your personal time with the Lord. You will be expected to memorize specific passages weekly as well.

“...the things revealed in the word of God are so great, and so infinitely more important than all other things, that it is inconsistent with the human nature, that a man should fully believe the truth of them, and not be influenced by them above all things in his practice. “ –Jonathan Edwards, The Religious Affections

Discussion and Teaching:

Everyone learns by doing. This time will provide an opportunity to break down what you have read or learned in class. This time is vital to processing and grasping everything that comes out of classes and book readings.

Team Time:

Team Time is a fun time to unwind at the end of the week while exercising and building team unity.

Accountability Groups:

Make theDeluge a little bit smaller. This is your “core group” for the summer that we encourage you to go deep with: guys with guys and girls with girls. Discuss what you are learning, pray for each other and develop lasting friendships.

Church Ministry:

Interns will have the opportunity to make disciples right here at Church of the Redeemer. theDeluge offers opportunities to work with children, youth and young adult ministries. This is a great avenue for interns to use their gifts and talents while serving and pouring into others, all in the context of the local church.

Outreach:

Christ’s commission to “go and make disciples of all nations” means that we have a responsibility to share Christ with others and to build others up in their relationship with Jesus. During this time we look to impact those outside our circle of influence and in the surrounding community with the love of Christ.
